Humble Beginnings
We’re a small local business with humble beginnings.  There are no deep pockets funding us, or corporate sponsorships.  Just a dream, a plan, and a bunch of hard work and elbow-grease.

From our press release:

Owner Michael Dawson is a local native who grew up in the area and, until a recent move back to Ventura County, ran a marketing firm in Los Angeles. Dawson’s move back home to assist an ill, aging parent spawned the idea for BITE BOLT.

“My mom was sick and struggling with her body fighting against her after the stroke. We spent a lot of time at hospitals and doctor’s offices. By the time I’d get her home, we were both exhausted. She certainly couldn’t do the cooking, and I was too tired. We wanted to order food…but the only options were unhealthy – and as you can imagine, unhealthy food isn’t the best food for a recovering stroke victim!”

And so…Bite Bolt was born.
